First fixtures of March and signs of spring were in the air with wonderful sunshine beaming across Bourne Farm. Great to see so many home games on, both league and cups. Read on to see how everyone got on....
U7’s were at home vs Windsor & Eton in a reversed fixture
This mornings game was a Thames Valley Development cup game.
Sandgate started the game positively and on the front foot looking to create chances which we did this woke Windsor up and they responded straight away and the game soon switched which meant the 1st 20mins was very 50/50 and very entertaining !!
The game opened up for both teams again in the last 20mins with all players getting game time and both teams having chances in what turned out to be a very entertaining and enjoyable game for both teams and sets of parents !

Our U8’s were at home this morning for their Cup Match against Townmead Whites U8’s.
We started off looking a little clumsy and slow but they soon restored the fire in their belly’s from where we left off from our last match.
Shea was on peak performance in goal again this week and every shot that came his way in the first 3 periods never got past him.
Kenny netting our opening goal in the 6th minute is what made the team come alive!
From then they were strong and they were hungry for the win.
With Kenny sinking another and Ivy deflecting one over the line.
In what was a very exciting game to watch the opposition just couldn’t quite match up to us for the first 3 periods.
The fourth period started with us winning.
This period became the most exciting of all to watch because you could see at this point the opposition wanted to try and level up. And although they managed to score they couldn’t find the equaliser nor the winning goal.
So we ended with a nice win.
I was witness today to some fantastic football from my team, passing was on point for most of the game, the link ups from some were extremely impressive. Both Theo and Izzy with just a look to one another knew what each other had to do next.
Junior was a powerhouse in defence today, and got stuck in with tackles.
Theo just missed out on getting a goal but stayed confident to pick up the rebound and reattempted the shot but again it was deflected.
The weather added to the joy of the game with all the team smiling and enjoying football. The last 5 matches have shown a massive growth in the team everything they are learning is clicking into place nicely.
Goals today from…
Kenny
Ivy
Player of the Match this week went to Junior, he’s missed a couple of weeks due to illness but he came back today the most determined I’ve seen him play since I took over the team and it was a pleasure to award him the PotM.

U9 Colts hosted Raynes Park Vale FC Reds.
Some good link ups between the boys. A lot of changing in positions and that didn't weaken the team which makes me very proud, shows they are listening in training and taking in what we are working towards.
There was some moments of brilliance from a few opposition players, especially their keeper who really did well and closed down a lot of plays and saved a lot of shots.
Sandgate dominated most of play but just didn't have the finishing touch verses a great keeper at this age.
Last quarter of the game the boys were less forgiving and fought harder to get the win, Rehaan linking up with Gabriel for Gabriel to work his magic skilling a defender and slotting it in bottom corner.
A few minutes later Kulraj played a clever ball to David who took it to the edge of the box and shot across goal to give us a an extended lead.
Last few minutes before the end of the game a penalty call was missed when David was taken out in the box but fair play to Isaac for staying alert and in the game and closing the continued play with a perfectly timed slide tackle, after most of the boys stopped to see if ref would call it.
Really proud of the team today. It was also Yaseen's last game for Sandgate, as he flew out this morning to Pakistan. We wish him all the best and hope he grows into a great young man.
Goals from
Gabriel
David
MPOTM went to Cristian, great work ethic. Determination to always win the ball, courage to run with the ball and the performance deserved recognition.
PPOTM went to Gabriel, was incredible, stood out to all the parents, the work rate he put in was unreal. Just kept going no matter what. He was hacked, kicked and fouled but he continued without complaints to keep fighting for the well deserved win, glad to have him back healthy after a few months out due to health issues.
Come on you colts. 🔴⚪
Up the Sandgate. 🔴⚪

🆠Sandgate U9s Red vs George Green Jnr Jaguars:
🎖 Parent Vote – Player of the Match: Michael
Goals: Lukas , Aryan
Match Summary
Sandgate U9s Red faced George Green Jnr Jaguars once again, this time at home, after securing a victory against them two weeks ago. With 11 players eager to play, the team entered the match full of confidence from their previous win.
From the start, we looked sharp, showing improvement and controlling the game well. The team created early chances, working hard across the pitch. Their efforts paid off in the first half as Lukas and Aryan both found the back of the net, giving Sandgate the lead at halftime.
In the second half, George Green Jnr Jaguars fought back, pulling a goal back and creating several dangerous chances. However, goalkeeper Michael was outstanding, making crucial saves to keep the lead intact. Despite not enjoying his time in goal, he stood strong and was instrumental in securing the win.
It was another great team performance, with every player contributing to the hard-fought victory. The confidence from the last game showed, and the boys worked together brilliantly to get the job done. Well done, Sandgate U9s Red! ðŸ‘

Nork Park Rangers vs Sandgate U10s
Our little heroes battled throughout.
Slow start again from the boys went down 1-0 then got pinned back for a short time, once the boys found their feet in the first half they slowly came out to play and ended the half very strong. Our brave captain Ollie took a huge smash to the head and came off to get his bearings.
Second half kicks off Eesa, Danny Lee and Ollie back on combine well to press the opposition back. Chance after chance created one off the post and grafting throughout.
The boys gambled in the last 5 min from a corner, the ball spills , shots are blocked and the counter attack is on and north park extended their lead. The boys gambled which they had to and unfortunately it wasn’t the result they wanted.
If you watched them play today all parents should be proud of their sons. There is a way to lose in football and today was one of those days fought to the end just couldn’t get the result they deserved.
POTM Eesa - His work rate was unreal this is what we have been waiting to see for a while but we can certainly say he brought it today . Well done Eesa
Well played all around and if the boys carry on playing to this level the results will come.
Up the Sandgate. â¤ï¸ðŸ’ªðŸ½

U10 Colts had a home game against S4K Egham Eagles today and the weather was amazing. In the first half we were in total control from the kick off - a solo goal from Mohammad going past 4 players and scoring a screamer, Billy added the second and Jayden made it three.
Second half the away team came out strong and scored the second which gave our boys the push they needed to fight harder and score the fourth by Hussain and a fifth by Jordan.
It is really wonderful to see the team playing the way they are doing now.
Mohammed
Billy
Jayden
Hussain
Jordan
POTM - Soul - he really showed his true colours today, even the players were impressed with his performance today.

U12s played away in a friendly V West Drayton
We dominated the whole game with our keeper not needing to make any saves- their two goal keepers were amazing making loads of crucial saves keeping the score to 2-0 and full time honestly could have been 10-0
We need to work a little bit on releasing the ball quicker and it’s really nice to be in good form and getting the results we deserve
All 5 boys we have signed since Christmas’s have settled in really well and as a team we’re starting to play some really nice football ðŸ†âš½ï¸

U12Colts were unusually woeful today!
Lost 6-1 to west side youth.
Just didn’t bring our Best selves to the match today.
Some small pockets of lovely play, one resulting in our goal. 6-7 short sharp passes from our Goal kick all the way up the pitch. Jas converting from Khalid’s ball.
Lots to work on this week in training
Goal: Jas
PotM- Riley putting in some strong tackles as GK! And another great game for Mason, worked hard, battled hard and always trying to do the right thing.
We will need to be much better than this as we face top of the league Sutton next week.

U14 Colts played their long awaited 3rd Round Trophy game away to Raynes Park Vale this morning. The boys got off to a bright start picking up where they left off in last week's league game. We were dominating the game and creating lots of chances.
It took Adam C being brought down in the box though for us to open up scoring when he converted the resulting penalty. It looked like we would extend our lead with many more chances and the flow all one direction but we could only add one more before going into the break with a 0-2 lead. Had we taken more of the chances created we could have gone in with a much more comfortable lead.
With many of our recent games, the second half was a very different prospect and we were on the back foot throughout. Our hosts were creating most of the chances and dominating possession. Some sloppy defending saw them get back in the game followed by the equaliser 10 mins from full time. Both teams were then playing for the win - we had several final chances through Adam and Dylan to secure the win but couldn't get it in the net. At the opposite end of the pitch Alfie made a huge double block on the line to keep our opponents at bay. Final score 2-2.
We had our penalty takers lined up - Adam C, Kaiden, Rohan, Adam Y, Shelem. Cody made saves for our opponents first two pens, while we successfully converted ours.
Onto the 1/4 finals where we play Raynes Vale Park Reds next Sunday! Will be an interesting match as they sit two divisions above us...
Goals - Adam (2)
Man of the match - Romeo for a solid performance throughout the first half, but many others could have been in with a shout (Alfie for his double block alone, Cody for a few penalty saves, Adam for his goals, any of the final penalty takers, etc.)
