Huge well done to all the parents and supporters that observed the FA Silent Support weekend, where the players were challenged to enjoy playing, making their own decisions and listening clearly to their coaches without distractions from the sidelines.
Congratulations to the U13Colts who secured their League Title with a win today and took a stand against racism with their 'Kick it out' T-shirts.

The U8’s played at home today against Slough Town U8’s.
Silent weekend was observed, so firstly I’d like to extend thanks to both teams parents who got on board and allowed the children to listen to each other and their coaches for the duration of the match and providing a round of applause at pivotal moments.
Collectively we started this week extremely strong!
When the whistle blew to start the match Kenny looked like he’d just been released from the starting gate at Cheltenham and sunk two goals in fairly quick succession. This gave us a very early lead and maybe we became a little complacent from then.
It was both an enjoyable and exciting game to watch with some lovely football being played from both teams.
Ivy managed to get us another goal but this week once we’d lost the lead we just couldn’t find away to get it back, but you win some and you lose some.
Lesson learned, never give up, but we’re come back fighting another day.

Today U9 Colts played away Vs Corinthian Casuals U9 Yellows
The game was very weird for the boys due to the silence from the parents, that being said the boys held their own throughout the game and our sub managed the game from the sidelines which I think helped them question positions, the reading of the game and helped motivate the boys from a different view.
The first and second quarter were very even throughout, both teams had close chances but both keepers did well to keep the game scoreless.
At half time I spoke to the boys and just asked them to listen to their player on the sideline and keep to their positions as we were doing well but they needed to make quicker decisions during play.
3rd quarter started very even again with back and forth play. 5 mins to go, the Colts changed gear and started playing beautifully as a team and the magic started. David with a perfectly placed corner for Rehaan on the volley to open the scoreline. Rehaan with a shot that fell to Ihaan who tapped it around the keeper. David then had his moment of brilliance to take the ball so narrow and shoot across goal to make it onto the score sheet.
4th quarter the boys had the hunger to carry on, I changed a few positions which saw us shakey in midfield but the Colts kept fighting, getting the ball to Kulraj who took on one then another and chipped the keeper to get on the score sheet. Just before the final whistle Mathew with a ball to Kulraj who tapped it against a Corinthians defender and and cross the line for an own goal. Final score reflected a confident and comfortable win for Sandgate.

MPOTM- the whole team- today they did the talking I only spoke and asked questions. But they delivered and with a clean sheet. Every player had a moment of brilliance in the game. Really proud.
PPOTM - Kulraj for being strong in defence and then going upfront and scoring the goal of the match and also gave the boys real motivation from the sideline as a sub.

Sandgate Red U9s Vs Sporttiers Blue U9s
Today, we played at home against Sporttiers Blue. We started strong, but our opponents took an early lead. Despite this, the Sandgate Red U9 boys showed great determination and worked hard throughout the match.
In the first quarter, Michael made some fantastic saves to keep us in the game, and we finished the quarter down.
In the second quarter, we improved our ball control and work rate. The defense held strong, but despite our efforts, we couldn’t find the back of the net.
Third & Fourth Quarters: As the game progressed, some of the boys began to feel tired and cold, leading to more mistakes. We struggled with passing and clearing the ball, lost control of the midfield, and weren’t able to defend well. Sporttiers Blue took advantage and scored more goals, and the match ended in a solid win for Sportiers.
Even though we didn’t get the result we wanted, I’m incredibly proud of the boys for their commitment, challenges, and positive attitude—all of which have improved from our last match.

Sutton vs Sandgate U10s
Today hats off the better team won.
The boys worked hard throughout but never really showed their ability with the ball today , lots of tackles and hoofs and not much in terms of football today.
But the boys have bags of grit and determination which kept them in the game throughout.
Upon reflection had Ollie scored the penalty the boys would have nicked a draw.
In defeat there are lessons to be learned so lots for the boys to work on together but attitude is 10/10 so all is forgiven.
Special message for our Captain Ollie, takes a lot of bottle to take a penalty in the dying moments of a game chin up you will 100% bury the next one.
On to the next one!

U10 Colts played away to West Drayton Youth Blacks today, we started the game as planned but conceded an early goal 10 minutes into the game, after that it was an uphill challenge for the boys.
The second half started and changes had to be made to give other players a chance to play. We conceded the second due to the boys poor marking and the attackers losing the ball as soon as they receive it, at this point there was not much time left so we went all out attack and Hussain was denied a 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. They attacked and a ping pong ball in our goalies area hitting 6 players and finally going in, full time reflected a lost for the team.
POTM - no player of the match, we need to do better going forward.

Sandgate U11s were away at Datchet FC
Playing a team two divisions above us this was always going to be a tough game. Without our usual goalkeeper and key member of our midfield it was going to an extremely challenging game!
However you wouldn't have been able to tell after the first 30 minutes as we kept the game scoreless with Blake going from being our star striker to solid goalkeeper. Unfortunately as time went on we got tired and the gap in ability showed. Datchet scored a few goals in quick succession to end the first half. As the second half went on and we got more and more tired the goals kept coming. Despite this we never dropped our heads or blamed each other, instead we kept working hard and motivating each other.
Incredibly proud of their mentality today and hopefully them playing such a top quality team will inspire them to reach that level.

Conceded a sloppy goal but controlled the whole game going into the 2nd half 3-1. Same again 2nd half good all round play, but a shakey 5 mins saw us concede 2 quick goals.

U12 Reds won 7 - 0 vs Claygate today in our last sunday home game of the season. Great result and performance from the team. I dont think the other team had a shot on goal and we dominated the game from start to finish. The boys were wanted to keep the push for the league title and scored in the first minute. Matt then scored a hat trick in 8 minutes and we were 4 - 0 up by 12 minutes.

U12 Colts finished their first year in Surrey League with a well-deserved win, 2-1 away at Westside Youth. This sees us finish a respectable 5th.
Great team performance today, took all the intensity and teamwork from last weeks defeat at Sutton into today and left nothing behind.
Westside could only field 8, but the boys were unphased, we just played!
Couple of good chances in the first half, but ended 0-0 with the momentum with us.
First goal came from a corner, after a bit of a ricochet the ball landed with Mo, who slotted home.
We then went two up after Jas put their defence under pressure, forcing an error and then JT pounced on the rebound.
The crossbar denied Mason getting us a third.
Westside grabbed one back with 6 mins to go, but the boys held on strong.
Great team performance, trusting the process and being patient.
So happy for them to end the league season with a win. â¤ï¸ðŸ‘âš½ï¸
PotM was Khalid, absolute workhorse today, box to box, and stuck to his objectives to keep the width and use his superpower speed up the wing. Top job!

U12 Whites lost 5 - 3 vs Holy Trinity Juniors in Chiltern Church League in a very entertaining game.
The team did well and lots of good footwork and attacking moves today. Pleased with the effort levels and determination from the team today. Got caught a few times on the break really pushing to score in the second half but very good to see the whole team attacking and pushing for a goal.
Man of the match - Two players stood out today - Callum for his superb work upfront, he was playing a year up against a very big physical team and you would not know he is a year below and got a good goal in the first half and also played in goal second half.
Tajveer was incredible in midfield today. Very strong, did not stop working to stop the opponent and try and push forward to score. Great to see his confidence today.
Good work all round from the team today.

U13- Sandgate youth played Sandgate Reds today, never easy playing teams from your own club but both teams gave everything on the pitch. It was a game of 2 being a double header.

Just can’t separate the 2 sides!!
U13 Red played a double header against Sandgate youth today. After 2 draws in our previous 2 games this season, this was always going to be close. Some lovely football on display by both teams ended with the first game 3-1 to Sandgate youth and the second game Sandgate reds winning 2-1. Again proving there is nothing between the sides.

Suraj 2 and Frankie over both games.
MOM went to Frankie for a great defensive display and magnificent in the air.

It was a win for Sandgate U13 Colts as they beat Woking cougars 2-1. Not only a win but also a result which means they have won the league with two games to spare. Goals coming from Tyrell and Leon.

Sandgate U13 colts beat Chalfont St Peter’s yesterday 3-2.
It was a Hatrick from Terry Taylor and a superb performance also from Josh and Jacob the goalie.
Both U13 colts and whites took the opportunity to show their support for a player who was racially abused by wearing kick out racism T-shirts. Massive thanks to all parents for their support (see photo above)

U14 Colts returned to league duties after our recent cup run over winter.
We got off to a slow start going 1-0 down, but were quick to respond with Dylan getting his first goal for the club within minutes of the restart. Another switch off in defence gave our hosts the lead again which was almost immediately scrubbed off by Adams equaliser. Dylan’s determination on the wing saw us get another before the break and we considered ourselves lucky taking a 2-3 lead at half time.
The second half was a different proposition with the majority of possession and chances falling to us. Abraham was first on the scoresheet in the second half followed by Dylan completing his hat trick and Rohan collecting a brace. It could comfortably have been more with a bit more composure but good to have the boys delivering 3 points as we continue our push to stay in the title race.

Man of the match - Dylan gave everything throughout the whole game and collected his first four goals for the team on only his second start. Great stuff!!
