UNDER 7s:
So we kick off our weekly round up with our under 7s who are still finding their feet after only being together for 4 weeks. Sadly they suffered a narrow defeat. Coach Wayne said ”There are lots of positives to take from the game and the players loved every minute of playing despite the result.”
UNDER 8s:
The U8’s season got off to a great start with them walking away with a victory against Corinthian Casuals Reds. They had achieved this result when the game was abandoned halfway through the third period when the opposition decided to withdraw.
Romae scoring a fantastic hat-trick. Also on the score sheet were Romario and Mason. Man of the match awarded to Romaè.
UNDER 9s:
Our under 9s with three new players in the squad lost with their first game in the top group. The heat in the last quarter got the better of them.
Unlucky boys but that’s what development is about. Let’s see how these great boys now move forward.
UNDER 10s
Our under 10s did not play but had a superb training session yesterday.
UNDER 11s:
Our under 11s won against West Drayton Explorers in spectacular fashion. Jake, with a superb hat-rick. Also on the scoresheet were: Wayne, Henry, Archie and Matthew.
Man of the match was Daniel.
Our under 11s Colts drew in a thrilling game against Langley FC. A game where they came from two goals down to ensure a well deserved draw. Marco with one of the goals from a superb free kick. and Khalid also on the score sheet. Marco a well desrved Man of the Match.
UNDER 12S:
YOUTH - Our under 12s youth beat Reigate 5-2 . It was a really good game to watch with some great team work and great pressing. Goals coming from : Tommy G with 2, Casey with 2, Youvraj with 1. Man of the match was Casey for two great goals and two fantastic assists and his work rate.
REDS - Our Under 12s Red beat title contenders Singh Sabba 4-1 with a superb performance. Manager and coach Gavin said he was super proud in what was their first competitive game. Goals from: Patrick , Frankie, Jacob and Ekam. Man of the Match was Patrick.
COLTS - Our under 12s colts also scored four in a 4-0 win today against Mitcham Park. Goals coming from Travere, Leon, William and Billy Joe. Superb start to the season. Assists coming from Bryan, Theon, and Travere. Managers man of the match was Alfie.Parents man of the match was Jacob.
UNDER 13S:
Our under 13s played Wandgas in our first Conference league game today. They had been moved up a league due to teams dropping out due to ULez. They finished 3rd in the league last season and had played in the new league for a couple of seasons. However despite that they had a convincing 8-0 win.
Coach Sean said 'I’m so proud of how hard we have worked today. Again the work we put in throughout summer holidays and the fitness we have worked on showed'.
Goals coming from: Jayden with 4, Krish with 2, Mustapha 1, and Angad with 1. Man of the match was Jayden leaving coach Sean a happy coach on the birthday of his mum who is sadly no longer with him. This one was for her. Thoughts are with you Sean on what is a difficult day but made easier with a performance from your boys.
COLTS - The under 13s Colts showed their progression from last season in all areas of the field today. They were strengthened with a few new faces over summer too and had been looking forward to their first game as a new group.
The boys dominated Claygate Royals from the start, played some good attacking football combined with some excellent saves to come away 9-0 winners.
Manager Barry said: “ We are very proud coaches at the moment . Very proud of the development shown by this team over the past 12 months.
Goals coming from Adam with SIX , Romeo, Kaiden and Rohan. Man of the match was Adam but it could have gone to several others for impressive individual performances.
UNDER 14s:
Our under 14s won 2 -0 against Walton and Hersham. Goals coming from Harry and Sid.
Our under 14s colts won 3-2 against Chertsey town youth. Simon with two goals and Riley with one.
UNDER 16s:
Our under 16s won 3-0 in their match today against Esher Youth.
MENs:
And finally our new men’s tea, managed by club secretary Rob Bevis, played in a friendly today winnign 3-2 against the three steps. A very impressive performance.
WRAP UP:
So with our weekly round up at an end for this week, can we just say a massive well done to our players who have both trained and played in extremely difficult conditions this weekend.
Our coaches who would have got to grounds early to set up and take warm ups, or set up goals after spending the weekend training both during the week and midweek, not just taking sessions but also planning sessions tailored to every child’s needs.
The secretary who organises games and refs and more, the new chairman who’s doing his best to get to know every manager and coach and watch all teams.
Then there’s the kitchen team of which we are seeing more and parents give of their time in a hot kitchen whether it’s blistering heat or pouring rain.
Not forgetting the hard work of some who have been at the club 25+ years and are still there working hard tirelessly for the club.
And as I speak to new parents week after week, they can’t believe that all these hours get put in for how much??? Absolutely nothing. These are parents, with jobs , with families and other commitments and other charity commitments that give their time for FREE week after week, year after year .
We ask all to remember this during the course of this season .
