SUNDAY
U7’s played away against George Green Juniors
In our 1st game today in the Thames Valley League against a good George Green side.
Every player gave it their all but we just couldn’t get going to our full potential, we had moments in the game to score a few goals but just wasn’t our day.. Main thing was every one came off the pitch smiling !!!
Well done & Thank you to George Green ðŸ‘ðŸ»
Goal scorer was Reuben
Player of the Match today was Reuben, he never gave up, got stuck in with the tackles and got on the scoresheet
-----------
U8’s played away to George Green Juniors Wildcats.
The team were slow to wake up today which saw them concede an early goal. They soon sprung into action after this, which saw them close the gap with a fantastic equaliser from Izzy!
From then on each player switched on and worked extremely hard, even with some being played in different positions to really challenge them and make them work. This led to them taking a generous lead. Power play was introduced by the opposition but they just couldn’t close the gap, with 6 of the team getting on the scoresheet today.
Todays goals came from: Izzy , Kenny , Leo , Ivy, Omar, Theo
Player of the match was a tough one to call as the whole team really did put in a shift. However, Izzy’s pure determination, focus and incredible goals led her to pick it up this week.
------------
U9 Colts were moved up a league this week to see if the peer level was more challenging. We hosted Richmond & Kew pumas.
The boys played great football from the whistle. Dominated the game from the get go. Solid in defence today again at home.
David scored a great goal from outside the box in the second quarter to give us the lead.
Speaking to the Boys at half time and getting them fired up, they came out even stronger.
Rehaan getting on the score sheet in the 3rd quarter.
With a comfortable lead and our defence giving a solid performance. I made the decision to take David and Rehaan off for the 4th quarter to test the rest of the boys, I was shocked to see the boys didn't slow down with Mathew and Isaac linking up and Isaac slotting it into the back of the net.
Mathew played great up front not giving up, had a few close ones, with a few minutes to the final whistle he got his redemption and managed to tap in a shot the oppositions keeper fumbled and let slip in, to give us a win.
Goals from: David, Rehaan, Isaac, Mathew
Managers POTM - Yaseen- solid at the back. Nothing got past him and when it did he closed it down and made up for the early dive in mistake.
Parents POTM - Mathew - once he went up front he gave it his all, created lots of chances and worked hard to get on that score sheet.
Come on you Colts!!! 🔴⚪ Up the Sandgate!!!🔴⚪

U10 Colts played away to George Green Juniors which was our second league game. An amazing performance from the whole team, especially the new players this season who were really good today and showed me what they can do. Our first league win in 12 months 🤩
Goal scorers were Hussain Jabor x3 and Wasil x1.
Player of the match was Wasil today, he was asked to play center defence and O my God, he made me proud.
----------
U11s hosted Burnham Junior Blues.
After a very cagey start to the game, Daniel pounced on a poor touch by the opposition before dribbling past another and squaring the ball to Blake who calmly took a touch before slotting it past the goalkeeper. At the start of the second half they both linked up well again with Blake this time playing the cross to Daniel who was unlucky and hit the side netting. The final 20 minutes was saw us struggling to get the ball out of our half but the defense held strong. We managed to hang on to the win
Goal scorers: Blake
POTM: Mason for doing a great job leading the defence with strong communication and winning several key tackles.
----------
U12 played against a very strong Walton and Hersham team who have won their first two games very comfortable and haven’t conceded a goal yet
Lost 5-2 stared very slow conceding 4 goals in the first 20 minutes once we settled into the game and a couple of changes we was much better and there keeper made some great saves in the 1st half and would of easily been 4-4 at half time
We regrouped at half time and won the 2nd half 2-1 which is great
Really proud of the boys today even at 4-0 down all the boys were very positive no moaning and was nice to see and hear them all encouraging and supporting each other which is great.
Little mistakes cost us today but we keep working hard and on bits at training and we’ll get there
Goals from: Ronnie and Henry
Player of the match Manny who was great on his 1st ever football match, who was solid when came on in defence ðŸ†âš½

U12Colts nearly had the comeback of the season, having gone 5-0 down in the first half to unbeaten Whitton Wanderers.
Silly mistakes, a spot of bad luck and a general sloppy slow start saw t her boys heads go down before the break.
A very clear team talk got the boys ready to go and they really took it to Whitton, Mason grabbing a goal just minutes after the kick off. JT added another, soon followed by one from Arif running down the left wing and converting from the edge of the box.
With the bit between their teeth, the boys dug deep and had the fire in their bellies. A fantastic solo effort from Louie, outpacing the defenders and shooting from range brought us back to 5-4. We pushed forward chasing the equaliser but it just wouldn’t land. With almost the last kick of the day, Whitton grabbed one more after an awkward bounce in front of goal.
What a turnaround. A real game of two halves! 0-5 first half -à 4-1 second half.
The determination, effort, team spirit and hard work the boys put into the second half was a real pleasure to watch!
So proud of their fight back. Need to make sure we show up straight from the first whistle next week.
Goals: Mason, JT, Arif, Louie
PotM: Louie for a role model display of being ‘the hardest working player’, never giving up and bagging another goal. Also shout out to Mo for some great defending and passing plays, and Riley for some super saves.
---------
U13's played Hampton and Richmond Borough Youth.
We started off very quickly into the game and within 4 minutes we went 1-0 up. The boys grew from strength to strength with some incredible passing and 1-2s. In the 10th minute Casey played in a great corner which was headed in brilliantly by Muzz putting us 2-0 up. Midway in the first half our keeper finally had some work to do which saw a save and then him unleashing an amazing drop kick which flew over the defence and Yuvi chased it down and finished it to make it 3-0. Then 3 minutes later we had a drop ball which was won well by Zac who smashed in an amazing cross which Tommy got on to the end of to make it 4-0. Hampton then got a goal back just before the end of the first half after our defence got caught sleeping. 4-1 at half time.
There was more of the same in the second half with some wonderful passing between the boys. The defence held a very strong line and Hampton did not get close to goal. In the 42nd minute the boys drove on and Yuvi smartly put away another to make it 5-1 and his hat trick. Then came a very smart piece of play in which Casey played a very quick corner to Zac who then crossed an amazing ball into the middle with Hampton sleeping and Tommy got onto the end of it, the keeper then pushed the ball back out and Tommy got to the ball first and tapped it in for his second and put us up 6-1.
It was an exceptional performance for all the boys, one of their best performances we have seen as their coaches. The whole team got Player of the Match today as we could not pick one player out. They all put their heart into the game today and absolutely shone from the strong defensive line, brilliant midfield play and great finishing up top. Today really shows the effort and hard work the boys have put into training, and they made us as coaches super proud today by the performance they gave.
Goals: Yuvi (3), Tommy G (2), Muzz

U13 Reds played away to Corinthian Casuals Yellow. We started off well and were in control for pretty much the whole game. A few sloppy goals conceded was the only downside to a good performance. Final score 11-3
Goals were scored from: Ekam, Jenson 3, Malek 2, Daniel, Frankie, Saifan, Harry, Areen
PotM went to Izaan for a fabulous all round energetic display.
-------------

Goals coming from Billy Joe with Two, Rahil and Harry.
Despite going 4-1 some dubious ref decisions gifted the opposition a penalty and a free kick which they converted both.
Player of the match Alfie for stepping up to go in goal after an injury to the keeper.

Outclassing the opposition today to come out 11-0 winners

U14 Colts hosted Raynes Park Vale this morning. A late drop out due to illness and return of recurring injuries in warm up meant we had a few last minute changes as we sent the kids out to kick off!
Despite this the team got off to a great start showing high energy levels and good passing (something we’d worked on in training). Adam gave us a lead mid-way through the first half.
This shook Raynes Park Vale into action who then started to dominate the game, keeping our defence on their toes. Everytime we won possession to break up an attack it was only seconds before the visitors were back in control which saw our visitors take a 1-3 lead at half time.
After the break Raynes Park continued to push our defence and create chances. A penalty in their favour saw them extend their lead. This galvanised the boys as they turned on the style showing some of the great football we know they can play. Within a minute of the restart Adam got his second to half their lead.
A soft free kick awarded to our visitors saw them convert it in spectacular fashion giving them the win with a final score of 2-5.
A performance today that saw the boys show the clear areas for development at the same time as glimmers of the great football we know they are capable of. Most importantly was the great team spirit they showed working for each other more than we’ve seen recently.
Goals - Adam (2)
Player of the match - Abraham following his debut goal last week, Abo worked super hard in midfield this morning showing he’s a great addition to the squad.
