Sandgate U8’s were away to Maidenhead Utd Meteors this morning
In another really good game this morning with both sides being evenly matched, seeing a lot of the ball and having chances, we managed the game really well and done our defensive duties when needed getting on the scoresheet a few times, however, Maidenhead pushed us right to the final whistle managing to grab a few late goals
Maidenhead seeing the game out and taking the win
Goalscorers: Reuben & Arthur
Player of the match - Arthur
Was absolutely solid at the back today, got stuck in, scored a belting free kick and even made a goal line clearance
Another one from Sandgate U8’s -
We also finally managed to present the U8 team with their medals for winning the Thames Valley Development Group, the group consisted of 4 teams playing each other once, Sandgate U8’s record was Played 3 Won 3
Was an absolute pleasure to have Dom Pires from
baller league come down and do the medal presentation, the kids loved it and it certainly has made a memory for these kids
C’mon Sandgate ⚪️

Today our U9’s played Harefield Utd Reds away.
As a team we started strong with our midfield putting in a lot of work, Ted was strong in the middle, with Rome and Izzy up and down the wings. Our consistent pressure paid off, with Rome putting us into the lead.
Ivy then had a good shot but unfortunately it just went over!
This was turning into a really competitive game on a not so good playing surface. That said, our pressure paid off again and Izzy struck to give Sandgate the lead just before half time.
Harefield came out strong in the second half and knew they needed to get themselves back in the game, which they did by getting a goal back early, meaning it was a one goal game.
We responded straight away and Rome scored a great goal to extend the Sandgate lead.
Harefield started to become more confident going forward and the pressure then switched to us. They were awarded a penalty and as a result got one back.
Harefield pulled one back to equalise, and with several additional minutes of time well over the 50 mins, this got the better of them and they just lost their shape which led to us conceding again, and ultimately losing the game.
Everyone tried their best yet again and there are so many positives to take from this match.
Shea played outstanding in goal made a number of great saves.
However, today our Player of the Match was awarded to Rome for his hard work on the pitch and scoring 2 goals.

U10 Reds played the Maidenhead Ravens Away.
We started off short handed. 3 players were absent. The first half our passing forward movement was lacking. We were down by halftime . The second half saw us moving the ball much better and we scored quickly. We gave up a questionable free kick which led to a goal. In the last few minutes we had some lapses in defence and Maidenhead scored a couple more. Final result, Maidenhead win.

U11s played chipstead youth.
With Alfie away and 2 boys not available the Chairman took the team.
The game was a good game of football and at half time was 0-0 U11s limited the opposition to only entering our box 3 times in the first half. We dominated play and had serval chances to score but just couldn't hit the back of the net. we was also holding on to the ball far too much when easy passes where on which made us have to work harder then we needed to.
At Halftime we had a chat about releasing the ball earlier as we always have option available and omg did they do just that with quick goals in the second half from playing quality passing and moving football, and it didn't stop there and again the boys didn't disappoint with the quality of the football being played.
That's was a hatrick for Danny Lee who played on the last man this week and worked his socks off with a high press.
Then we scored another from Ollie this time.
having already made changes to players positions we changed more players and put them in positions they dont normally play in this opened us up and we conceded a goal there only real chance in the second half.
The game finished with a Sandgate win.
Potm was Danny Lee voted for by all his teams mates and I had to agree as he played his socks off today,
But I got to say Alfie the team you are building is a credit to the club and yourself. Always listening to advice and wanting to improve.

Home game U11 Colts vs Slough Town Juniors
With only 10 players available today we started the game really well, the defence had to work their socks off, it was an attacking wave from the away team. We opted to play counter attack which was working, we had a couple of chances to score but we couldn't finish, (we need to work on our finishing). We had a corner kick which Wasil took and his cross was hit so sweet that it went over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net, what a goal. Half Time Sandgate had the lead.
The second half was more of the same. Some of our players were losing energy and we conceded a goal. From then on both teams were pushing hard for the win. A miss kick clearance from Klevis in defence went straight to the away team player and he scored. Full Time unfortunately a Sandgate loss.
Goalscorer- Wasil
POTM- Hussain
He played really well today in defence, without him we would have conceded a lot more. He spots danger really well and uses his strength to his advantage.

U13s played home v Sutton
We started the game very slow did not compete in the first half much
2nd half we came into the game after our equaliser we found momentum but couldn’t covert a second and we found 2-1 down
Sutton went on to score a free kick and form a corner which final score was 4-1 to Sutton
Scoreline doesn't really reflect the game think a draw would of been a fair result but we were far from out best today
A very unpleasant game against very unpleasant opposition.
We move onto next week were we are away in the 1/4 final of the county cup

U13 colts played at home against top of league Epsom and yewel.
We made a sloppy start and gave away 3 soft goals. We managed to create a good few chances for ourselves but due to reacting to transitions found ourselves 5 nil down at half time.
After some encouragement at half we came out and put in a much better performance. The final score being 8-2, with the chances created if we could have been as clinical as the opposition the score line would have been much closer.
We go again next week
Goals: Kian, Aymen
MOM Aymen for a super performance in midfield.

U14 Reds 2 and a half year unbeaten home run came to an end this morning after to losing 3-0 to Sandgate Youth.
After being the better side for the first half we failed to capitalise on our chances. Second half we had a crazy 10minute spell and fell 3-0 behind. The game was a lot closer than the score line suggests but it just wasn’t our day.
Well done to Scott and Sandgate youth for the victory. We go again next weekend.

Sandgate U14 Youth played Sandgate U14 Reds
Never nice having to play your own club teams, especially in the same league.
Both teams started well and I thought it was a pretty even first half, not many chances and good defensive display from both sides.
Second half we started strong, got an early goal and this gave us momentum which saw us go on and score 2 more quick goals.
We then knew from previous games we had to defend well and despite some late pressure we managed to secure the 3-0 win.
Mom from Jack went to Paramraj who made a penalty save and kept a clean sheet too.
Mom from me went to the whole team, I couldn’t single one person out, they were all great today

Well done to Sandgate U14 Reds it’s always a good game when we play each other and each and every one of Gavin’s players played really well. Much respect too after the game, their sportsmanship shaking hands and being honourable in defeat was commendable.
