Still seeing several away matches cancelled due to waterlogged pitches. A few home games at Bourne Farm survived, thanks to the excellent work the team have done in preparing the pitches.
Sandgate U8’s vs Townmead Youth Whites
We started really well with the press having a lot of possession and chances but a little bit of panicking saw us struggle to put the early chances away, this soon however changed and we regained our composer which saw us get on the scoresheet a few times. Townmead played some really good football at times and we had to be patient and soak the pressure up, Rylee making some good saves and our defensive work saw Townmead kept at bay until the 3rd quarter where they managed to grab a goal, this didn’t phase the squad as we replied instantly with a great strike from Reuben, all the hard work we do paid off as our pressing saw us grab another goal, the 4the quarter saw Townmead grab a few goals and we dug deep and worked out socks all over the pitch seeing a nice ball from the back, a little touch from Alice to Rylee saw a 1 on 1 chance adding to the scoresheet.
All credit to Townmead who played really well, but Sandgate U8’s came away with the win, I couldn’t fault anyone’s work rate and desire today, they all ran their little socks

Sandgate u9s played home today against Hurricane FC Gold.
We knew today was going to be a tough day as we had a lot of players unavailable and basically no players on the bench.
I told the team to go out and try your best and they did that.
Ivy worked hard up top and had a few chances go wide. Shea made a lot of saves throughout the first half but Hurricane were to strong for us, half time Hurricane FC Gold were in the lead.
Second half we started off better and held them off for awhile and soaked up alot of pressure. Unfortunately today was not our day and conceded goals in quick succession in the second half.
Last few minutes Kenny playing in a right back position ran the length of the pitch through every player and managed to get us on the score sheet with a great goal.
Final outcome, win for Hurricane fc Gold.
Today was a hard day for the team, some played in positions they were not comfortable in aswell as playing a full game. So im proud of them for sticking at it and trying their best, that's all we ask no matter the result!
Player of the Match - Shea, made an unbelievable amount of saves today!

Hurricane FC Green vs Sandgate Colts U11
We started the first half really well and managed to open the scoring through Mohammed. After that we were in total control and could have scored more goals, but is was not meant to be.
We started the 2nd half really strong, we were creating chances after chances but could not find the back of the net. Natan, Nathan, Wasil and Mohammed had chances to score but they did not have their shooting boots on. Final outcome was a score draw.

U14 played Caterham, after losing 3-0 earlier in the season we knew it was going to be a tough game.
We only had 11 players and with some fasting we knew it was going to be tough but the boys started strong scoring in the 11th minute before conceding in the 12th whilst not concentrating.
We got back on top in the 15th with another great goal and went in half time 2-1 up.
Second half we started the same scoring early to make it 3-1, we then saw tiredness and fatigue setting in, we then conceded making in 3-2.
With the final minutes of the game approaching we managed to hold firm ensuring the win.
Great team spirit and performance today.
