Sun 27th Sept
Sandgate U9’s vs Slough Town U9’s
We started the game focused and determined to get back on track, the game as a whole was at times abit scrappy but we kept calm throughout managing to get on the scoresheet in the 1st quarter with Slough Town replying fairly soon after.
Jay and T told the team to keep calm, focused and remember our jobs on the pitch, in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, the game opened up a little and we took advantage adding a few more goals.
Last quarter, we were made to battle as full credit to Slough Town for not giving up at all and they kept going creating chances, but we defended hard and created chances ourselves adding a few more goals to our tally.
A little shoutout to Leo, Leo joined us in the summer, and today he managed to get his 1st goal in Sandgate colours
Sandgate coming away with the win, All the best to Slough Town for the rest of the season

Sandgate u10s
played at home to Core FC Windsor.
We knew today was going to be a tough game as we had some players out sick and not many options on the bench.
Core FC Windsor started well and scored the opening goal in the first 5mins. I reminded the players what we spoke about before the game, we know how they play and are a good team who like to pass the ball around. Told the players stick to it and don't give them time on the ball, don't let them play. From then on what an excellent performance from our team. We were solid won everything and frustrated them. Ivy battled through on goal and got us that equaliser and then the goals kept on coming. Kenny scored a penalty and a goal from Milad was a a proper team goal as the passage of play before the goal was great 1 touch passing!
Second half, Kenny got a goal early on, Core Fc windsor pushed to try get back into it but everyone worked extra hard to keep them out. Kacie made some great saves, defenders Theo, Izzy and Leo B were solid. Well done everyone and well done to Leo L and Kacie for stepping up and taking turns in goal with our keeper out sick.
Final result, win to Sangate!
3 wins out of 3 keep up the good work guys!
Player of the Match went to Izzy, I asked a-lot of her today, she played multiple positions and worked her socks off! Fully deserved!

We continued to battle in the second half but a few errors let the opposition sink a few more goals.
Moosa managed to secure us a second goal from a penalty where he buried it in the top corner.
Final result was a Sporttiers win.
POTM went to Moosa for his continued hard work and despite their best efforts not letting the opposition get under his skin.

The second half started off the same with us controlling the ball. We had a few crital mistakes in defence, which led to the Hurricanes scoring 2 goals. In the final 5 minutes Sirage had a brilliant assist to Adam who knocked it it.

Ashford Town Juniors vs Sandgate U12 Colts
First time playing in the Middlesex county cup trophy, so we didn't know what to expect. The home team had a nice 3G pitch which gave the boys an encouragement to showup and enjoy themselves. We conceded the first goal but from then on it was us trying to get back to level terms, we got a free kick outside the box on the right side which Mohammed managed to strike and score.
Half time scores were even.
We started the second half strong and our attackers had a few chances but wasn't meant to be. A lovely team effort from defence into midfield and Elmi assisting a nice pass into Mohammed's path which he converted to equalise. Now it was an all out attack to win the game, Vlad got the ball in the middle of the pitch and ran, he hit the ball with power from outside the box and what a goal it was, everyone went crazy.
Last 5 minutes a crazy ball in our goalies area which no one can clear ended up inside the net.
Final Score was 3-3
We lost in penalty shootout 4-2, not the ending we deserved but we move on.
