Weekly match reports 07/08 March 2026

31 Mar 2026

8th March, still not seeing a full fixture list, but here is the round up of those that played..,,

Sandgate U8’s were at home vs 4FuturePro this morning

The game was a goal fest this morning… We didn’t know much about 4FuturePro so it was a bit of the unknown but we set out to start strong and see where we were after the 1st quarter, we had a healthy lead going into the latter stages of the game, but full credit to 4FuturePro they had a few players that caused us problems and a few moments we lacked concentration and this saw them get back in the game the last quarter was nervy but we kept battling and sticking to the job at hand seeing the game out. Sandgate coming away with the win !

Good luck to 4FuturePro for the remainder of the season

Our U9’s played at home against West Drayton Youth.

Our first time facing this team so was nice to have a new challenge on our hands.

Neither of us knowing what to expect.

We started off very half heartedly this morning which saw us conceding an early goal. Our slow work rate lingered on a bit too long and our opposition scored again. From then the light switch came on and the effort increased no end. Back to playing some great football with thought out decision making and some lovely passes between the team led to Leo L opening our scoreline. We followed this up with Kenny dribbling he’s way round every opposition player in site and slotting in a goal to bring us level pegging as we broke for halftime.

We came back out strong in the second half continuing with the same work rate and began to dominate play shutting the opposition down. We were then awarded a free kick from a handball on the edge of the box. With Theo stepping up, he fired his shot and it cleared the wall landing in the top right corner. We take the lead but they soon equalised.

Kacie’s continued determination saw her not only secure her first goal of the season but put us back in the lead. With spirits high the good standard of football continued, our failing today was some players not being confident to take a shot when the opportunity arose. Many chances were created today which could have seen a greater scoreline if they attempted them.

With the game pushing on our opposition again equalised only this time with a goal that stopped everyone in their tracks with a look of disbelief on their faces. A pass back from the opposition at the centre saw their number 7 strike the ball and bosh it went straight in the back of the net. It was like watching it in slow motion, with our keeper still attempting to get a hand on the ball despite knowing it was going in. An absolute worldie of a goal so credit where credit is due.

The final outcome was a score draw in a game that turned into a great battle.

Player of the Match went to Kacie for her sheer determination throughout the game. It was a pleasure to see her earn her place on the scoresheet as well.

Today U10s Reds played Singh Sabha at home .

We started off the match without our goalkeeper. And one of our key defensive players and part time goalkeeper, Timothy. Turgut our defensive back filled in for us. We gave up an early score in the first five minutes. But that team did not get their heads down. Matthew gave Lucas a brilliant assist for a quick score. We kept the game equal until the end of the first half.

The second half saw more determination from the boys.Again, matthew had a wonderful assist to Ihanachu and some great passing back and forth, and we quickly scored another. We went up and we had a little letdown in defence and the opposing team scored two goals including one from a penalty. Overall a much important gain from last month.Good passing good assess good defence. It was a win that we needed to boost the boy's confidence again.

Final outcome - win for Sandgate.

Players of the match

Turgut and Ihanachu.

U11 Colts vs Burnham Jnr Blues

Today we were up against a really good team. They passed, controlled and moved the ball really well. Our players had to work really hard, and bless them all they did try.

Final outcome was a heavy defeat for Sandgate.

All the team did what they could but we were out played in every position.

———-

Sandgate U13 Colts played Whitton Wanderers, who were sitting two places above us in the league.

We had a really solid start, putting their defence under pressure.

We took the lead with a great flick on from Charlie to Inara who held off the defender to calmly slot home.

We extended the lead soon after with a loose ball spilling in the box to Kian who pounced on it to make it 2-0.

Whitton got one back, so we went into the break 2-1 up.

There could easily have been more goals at either end through the 2nd half, but the team dug deep, worked hard and held on to a very well earned win, on the back of a very positive performance last week. Well done everyone!

PotM could have been whole team, but playing out of position and doing a great job at RB this weeks PotM went to Mo.

U14 played Sandgate U14 Reds, just like last season we have won 1 each head to head. Shows the level we are both at, and how close this league is.

Well done today Gavin and the boys, clear 3-0 winners today. We just didn’t show up today. First loss of 2026, but we regroup and go again next week.

U14 Reds played u14 youth for the 6th time in 2 seasons! (Please give us a break) As Scott said there really is nothing to seperate the 2 teams. But today we were the better side.

We won 3-0 and thought we deserved our victory today.

All 3 goals coming from hat trick hero Jenson!

MOM went to Areen for a fine all round display
