With the schools on half term break, only a few teams in actions with friendlies:

Sandgate U10Reds vs Frontline
It was a good effort for the boys today. A tough loss for sure. We were a little tentative in the first half but really played hard the second and kept the opposition from scoring.Frontline came with an experienced squad with excellent passing skills who was unbeaten.We conceded a goal to a non touch straight in corner goal. Also we added a new player which will take time to blend with the team. The boys finished the game with their heads held high knowing they didn't give up while finishing with intensity.

Redkore Blacks vs U11 Colts
Due to the half term holidays, we only had 9 players available, but upon arrival, we found that Redkore only had 6 players available. Both teams agreed to play 6 a side.
We started very slowly, needing time to adjust to the smaller pitch and reduced number of players. After about 10 minutes, the boys settled into the game and scored well worked goals. Just before half time, we conceded a goal that could have been easily avoided by the goalkeeper, making us up at the break.
During the team talk, we discussed the mistakes to avoid and made some player changes. The boys came out in the 2nd half eager to add to their lead. Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, Redkore managed to equalise.
This only made the boys more determined to win. We then scored what should have been our next goal, but the referee ruled it out, saying the ball had hit the side netting, although, due to the poorly attached nets, it was clearly a legitimate goal. The boys were frustrated, but after some encouragement, they kept their focus and finally got the extra goal they deserved.
Just as the referee raised his whistle to blow for full time, we scored again, but the goal was disallowed saying the whistle had already gone.
Sandgate take the win.
A great display of determination and teamwork from the boys, showing excellent attitude to overcome setbacks and secure a well deserved win.

U13 played in a friendly game today v Corinthian casuals a few players unavailable allowed us to give some of the training boys a run out . We failed to covert chances in the first half whilst dominating play and they were given a pen just before half time which lead to them leading 1-0 at the break
Much better 2nd half see us go on to win the game 3-1
