The U8’s were away to S4K Windsor Wolves
We started the game strong having most of the possession for the 1st quarter and found ourselves a few goals up going into the 2nd quarter, where we continued the same intensity and drive netting a few more goals. 3rd quarter and S4K came out looking to get back in the game and found themselves getting on the score sheet. With the 3rd & 4th quarter, the game became end to end football and a really great game to watch with both Sandgate and S4K netting a few more goals each

Our U9’s played their first home game of the season against S4K Windsor Wolverines this morning and what a game it was!
The team were already fired up after receiving a special message this morning from a premier league player wishing them good luck for today, after he’d heard the team had a great start to the season last week.
When the whistle blew they were quick out of the traps and very nearly slotted one home in the first two minutes. From that moment you could see how hungry the team were and their determination continued to grow.
Some great football was on display from the team today, excellent passing, they were communicating well and had a fantastic work ethic.
Kenny opened our score line today and then quickly followed it up with an absolute belter of a goal. Think he shocked himself that he’d managed to net that one!
One of our newer signings Milad came out of nowhere and scored what I can only describe as a complete worldie. Think everyone watching thought that it was going over the cross bar.
Lastly to nick a goal today was Ivy who had many chances today but we knew one was brewing and she definitely delivered.
From a managers/coaches perspective it was extremely pleasing to see just how well the team have gelled with their 4 new teammates. If they continue to play to this standard all season they will definitely be a force to be reckoned with.
It’s evident that they are all really starting to grasp their positioning/shape. Something which we will continue to build on to keep them heading in the right direction.
Player of the Match was awarded to Kenny not just for scoring two goals, but for his around effort in the game, he worked tirelessly throughout. And has also fully developed an understanding of when to use his teammates.

U10 drew today with Isleworthians

U11 lost to Teddington
Nothing went our way, tough game for the boys.
On brighter news, Ryden was player of the match scoring a goal and was incredible

U11 Colts won away to Windsor & Eton
Very strong performance from the boys today, we were constantly in their half, at least 10 offsides, the boys have not yet perfected the offside rule, the score line could have been even more if the boys can time their runs well.
In the first half we were up and in a comfortable position. The second half Windsor came out strong but the boys managed to contain them and Wasil scored a beauty to ease up the pressure on us. A clumsy challenge from Hussain gifted Windsor a penalty but we still enjoyed the overall win.

U13s played against a strong Walton and Hersham side
We started very well going 1-0 up with some great play between Ollie and Nelson for Nelson to finish
A dubious foul throw resulted in us conceding a goal just before half time
Great all round game from the boys but we couldn’t convert our chances.

U13 Reds won 4 - 0 away vs Esher Blues today.
Absolutely brilliant game of football from the team today. Worked so hard, lots and lots of effort and desire and really outplayed a fairly good team.
Scored some good goals including a nice long range lob from one of our strikers who could have got a hat trick in the first half before going back to RB in the second half. Very pleased with the team especially the midfield today who totally bossed the game with one also managing to score late on.
Nice to get a clean sheet also and also see Scott’s U14 team playing at the same ground.

U13 Whites lost 6 - 2 to St James Panthers in their opening game of the Chiltern League season.
Tough game for the Whites and lots to learn and develop from. It was great to see all the new players starting their new season with the team but a lot of work still to do.
Player of the match- GK Callum who was brilliant, pulling off some great saves and was really under the cosh most of the game as the defence struggled to control the St James attack.
A few of the Reds players mixed in to help the team and Tawhid managed to get 2 x goals and could have scored a few more but was just off target.
Lots still to do with the Whites team but good to get their season underway and get some valuable game time.

U13 Colts played Raynes Vale Park and started really strongly, playing some great football and Mason J chasing down everything in the box to create some early chances.
We took the lead from a great looping shot from Kian on the right wing.
We extended the lead when Inara picked up a through ball from Kian, beat the defender and she slotted home comfortably.
RVP pulled one back, and then levelled as the game went end to end.
Kian turned provider again, crossing for Mason J to blast one home on the volley to go 3-2 up.
RVP snatched an equaliser picking a clearance up, and then went on to take the lead when the defence failed to clear their lines.
With 5 mins to go, Mo picked up a looose ball in midfield and carried before letting off a rocket from outside the box to earn us our first point of the league.
Great effort from everyone, super team performance. Exciting end to end game, that could have had plenty more goals!!
Few things to work on from today defensively, but good to see improvement from last week as everyone continues to settle into the team.
Shout outs to Riley in GK, Ralph, Mason J who all made positive impacts to the game.
PotM went to Kian, with a goal, two assists and lots of creative play.

U14 Reds played Abbey Rangers at home. A really sloppy slow start saw us go 1-0 down but that seemed to spur us into life and a lovely cross from Rupert saw Jenson fire in a lovely volley and then before half time Areen put in a cross that evaded everyone and straight in to the net.
Straight from kick off at half time a freakish own goal put us 3-1 up and we followed that with 3 more goals before conceding 2 near the end. Final score was 6-3.
Goalscorers were: Jenson 2, Ekam, Areen, Malek, OG
PotM went to new signing Ayaan who changed the game and won the midfield battle when he came on.

U14’s played Esher youth away today
We started well playing good football but was matched kick by kick from the opposition. A great play led us to go 1-0 up with new signing Yaz getting on the score sheet. We then conceded a goal which was just one of those great shots that came from very little. This spurred us on with Yaz getting a second before half time.
In the second half Archie made a great run beating 4 players before getting in to the box and being bought down. Casey converted the penalty to put us 3-1 up.
Then they had a run of possession and scored again before Yuvi put the game to bed.
Final score 4-2 to us.
Mom went to Yaz for a great display today and Archie who ran his socks off today.

U15s played at home to Sporting CP London and dominated the game from the start.
They had one great player who scored all 5 of their goals, but we came out on top today winning 9-5.
Should never have let 5 in but silly mistakes cost us them goals.

Sandgate Men Kick Off the Season in Style
Sandgate Men opened their season with a thrilling home victory over local rivals Wishing Well.
It was always set to be a tough encounter, with Wishing Well having the upper hand over Sandgate last season, and the visitors dominated the opening 30 minutes. Sandgate struggled to settle into their formation and eventually conceded through a deflected own goal.
That setback seemed to galvanise the team. Just before half-time, a moment of brilliance from Matt D brought the sides level with a well-worked finish.
After a frank team talk at the break, Sandgate returned to the pitch transformed. They dominated the second half, with two further goals from Matt D, one apiece from skipper Kinsey and Lewis, before Fletcher sealed the win with the goal of the game – a stunning free-kick.
A fantastic start to the season against a very strong side.
