A roller-coaster day at the Ascot Tournament. We qualified in our group after beating one of the best teams in the Surrey League. This set us up with local rivals West Drayton Youth in the quater final. An end to end 1-1 draw saw us go to penalties in which our keeper saved all 3. The semi final brought a 0-0 draw which again saw us go to penalties. The penalties were of such good quality that it was 5-5 when our keeper once again made the vital stop.
We met a very strong Billingdon team in the final which again ended in a draw. This penalty shoot-out was a step too far for us. All energy and luck used up in the earlier rounds.
However, every player should be very proud of themselves for the effort put in and the trophy/medals they earnt. Well done boys!
