Tony (2850) last time out at Hermannslauf
Hermannslauf 2010
You are probably thinking “What is Hermannslauf 2010..?” This is a gruelling 31km cross country marathon which takes place every year in a town called Bielefeld situated about 100km outside Dortmund, Germany.
What makes this marathon so difficult is that it is run through the forests on every terrain possible along with many steep hills that are so steep you could use both your arms and legs to reach the top..!
Our Under 8 coach, Tony Heath has previous competed in this race and raised money for Diabetes UK as this is a charity close to his heart as he himself suffers with Type 1 Diabetes. His previous time was 3 hours 12 mins. Tony is once again competing this year and is aiming to complete the run inside three hours...
Tony is once again running for charity and this year he is raising money to help Sandgate continue with their success and hopefully help to keep the club going into the future.
If you would like to make a donation, please see Lorraine at the Tea Bar and she will happily take your sponsorship.
Thanks for your continued support.
