Sandgate are pleased to announced their new links with Uxbridge FC.
Steve Kennedy has been working with Uxbridge FC for many years and the two clubs have once again got together and are working very closely to produce players which hopefully one day will go on to represent Uxbridge first team.
Steve, along with Sandgate U16 coach Tony Heath & U13 coach Chris Stanborough are currently running the Uxbridge U18 team along with QPR U15 Academy coach Shaun Ryan and play in the Allied Counties Premier Division.
Quite a few Sandgate boys have been involved with the squad since August and I'm sure have learned a lot during training sessions they've attended. Some boys have also gone on to represent Uxbridge U18's. U18 Sandgate players Jake Nickless, Courteney Walker are currently part of Uxbridge squad with past players Elliot Byrne and Lewis are also included.
U16 Captain Ronnie Heath has been called up to train with the squad also and is hoping to sign up during this season.
The current squad is a very young and in-experienced side and the vision is to develop these players to go on and achieve a high level of football hopefully at Uxbridge FC and also introduce players from the very strong up and coming age groups within Sandgate Football Club over the coming years.
Home matches are played Honeycroft, the home of Uxbridge FC on Horton Road, West Drayton. These are usually on a Monday night under the floodlights.
