It was quite a successful day for our teams this week with 9 teams in action. Five of these winning, one drawing and three losing on a day which saw alot of our younger age groups without matches mainly due to half term. So it was our U13's up that provided us the entertainment this week.
Starting with the U13's, after suffering defeat last week at the hands of the same opponents Spelthorne, the boys were up for the battle and didn't dissapoint with a staggering 6-0 win. Goals from Callum, Flether, Adonis (2), Nibhan, Amon & a Man of the Match performance from Amayn gave the boys comfortable victory and a new sense of belief going forward.
Our U14 Blades put in a battling performance against Hampton & Richmond but unfortunately despite creating a lot of chances they were narrowly beaten 3-4 with goals from Dillon Quashie, Marshall Thorpe & Harris Jabaarkhel. Our newly formed U14 Colts continued their good start to the season with a close fought 4-4 draw against Headstone. But aguably the performance of the week was with our U14 Arrows who recorded a fantastic 3-2 win against current County Cup champions Parkfield.
Our U15 Colts started their game on high following some impressive victories but despite going into half time 2-0 to the good, a spirited second half performance from Stoneleigh Athletic finished up with a 4-3 defeat. A great game of football though with both teams working hard to try and come out on top in a very evenly matched contest. Unfortunately three goals from Jules, Ryan & Tinaye were not quite enough to record another win for the Colts. However the U15 returned to league action at home to Carshalton Athletic and continued their winning ways with a very assured 2-0 victory.
With our U16 team not in action this week, The U16 Colts continued to impress by coming from behind to record a 2-1 victory against Lyne Youth to apply pressure at the top of the league. Two goals from Reece Roberts were enough to send Players, Coaches and supporters home very happy.
And finally it wasn't a great day for our U18's who were unable to build on recent victories and found themselves on the wrong end of a 5-1 defeat to Old Coulsdon Colts. But it was a good day for our men's team who run out impressive 3-1 winners against Ruislip Rovers in the Middlesex County Cup.
