Despite the dissapointment of Uxbridge FC bowing out of the FA Cup against a very good Chippenham Town side, Sandgate did them proud with over 100 members of the club turning up to support them on the day.
The Sandgate U8 & U9's helped entertain the bumper crowd by playng some great two touch football before kick off then formed a guard of honour with the help of our very own Sandy the Fox, to welcome both teams and officials on to the field.
After an entertaining first half, the boys and girls then took part in a half-time penalty shootout competition. Well done to both teams. It certainly looked like you had fun.
This was a great day (apart from the result) which was also Non-League day where the FA try to encourage people to visit their local teams to support our Semi Professional football and help boost both popularity and finance for our local community clubs. Well Sandgate FC definately played there part.
