Some of the boys from Sandgate under 8's spent a memorable day at Fulham Fc on Sunday April 4th when Fulham played Wigan. Eight of the boys went on the pitch at half-time and took part in a shoot out competition. Timothy Miles went in goal and saved 4 shots. Sandgate won 5-3 and the penalty takers were birthday boys Alex Stevens and Ronnie Heath and Lewis Mcgill, Jasper Bevis, Aaron Leahy, Billy Chinnery and Frankie Jeff.
This was a proud moment for Steve and Lorraine Kennedy, the backbone of Sandgate Fc, who are season ticket holders at Fulham. They were proud to see some of their Sandgate boys on the hallowed turf.
