Sandgate Youth FC celebrated the past season on Saturday 18th May at their annual Presentation day.
Committee member, managers, coaches and volunteers had spent the week preparing the refurbished club house for the big day.
All age groups were honoured on the day, starting with our youngest stars the U7’s & U8’s.
A great time was had by all. One of our U7’s Said “this was the best day of my life”.
At 12.15pm The Paul Williams Memorial Trophy was contested between The Sandgate Legends and the Sandgate Managers / Coaches. It was great to see past players return to Bourne Farm. The match was a close affair was the Legends edging out eventual winners.
After the Match, the presentations continued. Some of these became quite emotional as three of our managers were doing their final speeches before leaving Sandgate. Dean McCarty, Dan Simpson and Alex Simpson have been fantastic servants to the club and we wish them all the best for the future.
The day drew to an end and it was time to clear away everything for another year.
Thanks to everyone for their help over the last season it has been incredible!
