Sandgate /Uxbridge continued their recent good form with a resounding win against Staines Albion.
Staines were a big physical side and would have posed a threat at every set piece , however Sandgate /Uxbridge defence kept these to a minimum with outfield player Byron Quinlan deptuising in goal due to regular keeper William Wicks injury we had to be on our guard. In addition to this we had exactly what the Manager Steve Kennedy had asked for "a more ruthless attitude to finishing off some of the good passing football. The game was realisticaly over as we raced into a 3-0 lead and were 7-0 up at HT. In the second half all substitutes were introduced and for few minutes they needed to settle then further golas came our way through good individual play or great team passing. Staines managed to score a couple of goals in the last few minutes to reward their efforts.
